A New Vice-Chair for the Parish Council

2 August 2020

At the June meeting of TPC Cllr. Katherine Barton volunteered to step up to the position as Vice-Chair of the Council. This is not a statutory position, but it does mean that Katherine is prepared to step up to the Chair’s role if for any reason Cllr. Smith is unavailable. Thank you, Katherine

Play Park Re-Open on 4th July

2 July 2020

As from 4th July 2020,the Play Equipment on the Recreation Ground will be re-open. 

HOWEVER, THE EQUIPMENT IS NOT REGULARLY CLEANED, AND ACCESS IS NOT MANAGED IN ANY WAY
 
Therefore, we strongly recommend all users follow these guidelines to help protect everyone from Covid-19:

2019/20 Accounts

The Parish Council Accounts for the year 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020 have now been fully audited (by Mr Trevor Brown CPFA) and are ready for inspection by residents at a mutually convenient time, once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Tunstall MUGA - We are all systems Go!

1 April 2020

We are delighted to report that planning permission for the Tunstall MUGA was granted by East Suffolk Council at the end of February and at the March meeting of Tunstall Parish Council the formal offer of £43,000 from Sport England was accepted. In addition to this all the funding from East Suffolk Council has now been awarded and the build has been given the go-ahead.

Tunstall Annual Litter Pick

5 February 2020

You are invited to take part in the Second Annual Tunstall Litter Pick. We will be turning on the ‘womble style’ on Saturday 7th March, starting from the Community Centre Car Park at 10.00am. Please bring gloves and wear very bright clothing (preferably hi-vis). Bags and a few picking sticks will be provided.

Finances for 2020/21

2 January 2020

At its January meeting (8th January) TPC will be setting the Precept. This is the amount of money we request from ESC and they collect it via your Council Tax. Each year we try to keep the precept to a reasonable level and only request small increases. However, ‘you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs’ as they say, and if you know if a project that TPC should be investing in next year please let us know, as this may make a difference to the precept amount requested.

Calling volunteers for the Speed Watch Group

Do you have a few spare hours in the daytime? The Tunstall Speed Watch Group are looking for a couple of additional volunteers. The group, who are all fully authorised and trained by Suffolk Constabulary, have access to a Speed Gun and other equipment for 2 weeks in every 10.

Annual Parish Meeting

1 May 2019

This year’s Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Wednesday 8th May, 6.00pm in the Community Centre Committee Room. The APM is not a Parish Council meeting; it is a meeting of the Parish where parishioners are invited to get together to hear how key village organisations are doing, hear reports from District and County Councillors and also put forward ideas for village projects.
