Please put a note in your diary that the Alde and Ore Estuary Partnership will be holding a public meeting of plans for a small number of houses in School Lane on 12th September, 6.00pm at the Tunstall Community Centre.
Tunstall Parish Council currently have a vacancy for a Councillor. If you would like to join us please call the Clerk on 01394 411405
On 4th July 2017 the Alde and Ore Estuary Partnership displayed plans they have to use the Enabling Development Scheme to raise funds for the AOET, by selling a parcel of land in School Road, Tunstall for 12 houses.
As you may have read in the local press, the Alde and Ore Estuary Trust (AOET) are presently embarking on a project to raise £10m to fund improvements to coastal defences along both estuaries. The project includes work at many locations, including work in Tunstall. One method of fund raising is to use a facility called Enabling Development. In essence, this allows small scale development on land presently used for farming. If the development is permitted by the local planning authority (in our case SCDC) this vastly increases the value of the land and when the land is sold to a developer, this money is then passed on to the cause (i.e. the AOET)
Is The Great Tunstall Get Together in your diary yet? If not, why not?
Please be advised that the Parish Council's accounts for 2016/17 are now available for inspection. They are already available on the 'Accounts' page of this site but if you would like to inspect them please call the Clerk on 01394 411405
The Parish Council's new Speed Indicator Device (or SID for short) will be put up for the first time today. It will initially be located on the Orford Road but will be moved around the village each month.
Just a reminder, Snape Maltings invite all Tunstall residents to an exhibition of their plans for future development. The exhibition is on Tuesday 28th February and doors open at 6.00pm
SID is the Parish Council's new Speed Indicator Device and it should be delivered in February. As soon as the posts are up we will need a team of volunteers to help move it around the village periodically. If you are fit, strong and able bodied, and would like to help, please call Judi on 01394 411405.
