An update received from Forestry England..
'As you are aware Forestry England drafted a new forest plan for Rendlesham and Tunstall forest for which an online consultation was held from 27th September 2021 -26th October 2021. We received 117 responses to the consultation and would like to thank you for the time you took to respond. A summary of the main comments and how we have responded to these can be found here: https://consult.forestryengland.uk/forest-districts/rendlesham-and-tunstall-forest-plan-2021-2031/
All comments have been taken into consideration and the plan updated where possible to take account of these. Please click here to see the updated plan which is now with Forest Services, the regulatory arm of the Forestry Commission for a further 28 day consultation before approval. I have been informed by Forest Services that the plan has gone live today on the public register and is available to view and comment. The link for this is: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/consultation-and-the-public-registers I have been advised by Forest Services admin team that if you click on the link it will take you to the public register and consultation page. It is the consultation register that you need at this stage. They suggested typing in Woodbridge in the search box as this will bring up the Rendlesham and Tunstall forest plan 2021. Click on this and you get the map and details including a box where you are able to add comments.
I am aware some of you are keen to view the plan at this stage and comment so I hope this information is helpful to you. Please note this consultation is run by Forest Services not Forestry England, so if you have any difficulties using it please contact them for advice. An email address is provided on the page I have given a link for above.
