Situated in the centre of the village St Michael and All Angels Church has a grand tower that was struck by lightning in the 18th century and was most recently rebuilt in the 1970s. There is a lovely priests door in the south wall of the chancel. To the south of the chancel is a gravestone which supposedly commemorates two smugglers overcome by the fumes of their wares.
