Flooding

If you are concerned that your house may be imminently flooded,

Use the Highways reporting tool to log your concern asap.

https://www.suffolk.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/flooding-and-drainage/report-a-flood-in-suffolk

Call the Suffolk emergency line on  0345 606 6171 and explain that you believe your property is in danger of flooding

If there is any risk of danger to people, property or the environment as a result of flooding call 999. and ask for the fire brigade.

Should the threat still be ongoing and no action or support has arrived then

Call the Tunstall Flood emergency committee.  The following volunteers have agreed for their phone numbers to be passed on:

Sarah Corbett : 07900 657780 (weekdays through the year, weekends outside of school term time)

David Lowne: 07966 158385

Rich Willoughby: 07900 580851 (weekends)

Lesley Cresswell: 07799 768716

Tex Bennett: 07974 911014 (weekends)

Susie Gorgeous: 07957 236566 (weekends)

Members of our committee will endeavour to be contactable 24 hours a day between us (in the event of a threat of flooding only).

Other Volunteers will try to help with traffic management, manning the pump, assisting the vulnerable with moving to a safe space as well as providing assistance if needed with contacting the relevant authorities.

Members of the committee are also monitoring the catchment pit on the edge of the village and in the event that village flooding looks imminent, we will post a message on the Tunstall Facebook page and the Next Door neighbourhood site, and the clerk will endeavour to distribute a message on the Tunstall Grapevine asap.

Instructions to use the village pump can be found here
